The 2000 movie ‘Hera Pheri’ is one of the most loved movies in Bollywood. This comedy film has been a favourite among the audience for a very long time now. Though the movie released 2 decades ago, the scenes of ‘Hera Pheri’ is still relevant and the viewers enjoy a good laugh whenever they watch the movie. ‘Hera Pheri’ is so relevant to date that several memes on the dialogues and scenes of the movie go viral on social media.

Starring Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, Paresh Rawal and Tabu in the lead roles, the screenplay of this cult classic has been adapted from the Malayalam film ‘Ramji Rao Speaking’.

As the movie completes 21 years of its release today, actor Suniel Shetty took to his official Twitter handle and shared a throwback picture from the movie. The ‘Dhadkan’ actor turned nostalgic while sharing the post.

Suniel Shetty tweeted, “No wonder we underestimate how quickly time flies. It seems I blinked, and 21 years went by. What a film we made @priyadarshandir @akshaykumar @SirPareshRawal @GulshanGroverGG #Tabu. Missing #OmPuri ji very dearly today…”

Akshay Kumar commented on Shetty’s tweet and wrote, “Agreed! Even we didn’t know back then what a film we were making, each scene better than the other. Specially love this one : dhoti Genius of Priyan sir and epic dialogues by late Neeraj Vora.”

‘Hera Pheri’ released its sequel named ‘Phir Hera Pheri’ in the year 2006. Fans have been demanding the third instalment of the film for a long time now. However, there has been no official confirmation on this till now.
