Tata introduces its most powerful and fast variant of Tata Altroz which possesses the same 1.2-liter turbocharged petrol engine currently available with the Nexon. The company has started the production of this new car at its Pimpri plant in Pune. But, this car’s pictures have been leaked before the launch.

Overview
This new car named Tata Altroz iTurbo will join the lineup that includes a petrol variant with a 1.2-liter NA motor and a diesel variant with a 1.5-liter engine. Likewise, both of these variants are available with a manual transmission option only. Anyway, this car was recently spotted during a TVC shoot by the company.

Special color for iTurbo variants
As per the images leaked from the shoot, Altroz could be seen in a new Harbor Blue Color. Also, the photos showed that this new variant is almost the same as the regular variant of Altroz with the difference that this car has a badge of ‘iTurbo’. So, the harbor color will only be available with the iTurbo variant. Besides, this new car will be available in other colors also.
And, since the company has started the production of this car, its delivery is likelier to start very soon. Tata dealerships would soon be getting iTurbo variants for display and test drives.

Most powerful and fast variant
It’s been widely publicized as Tata’s most powerful and fast variant. It comes with the same 1.2-liter turbocharged petrol engine that is available with Nixon. This engine can generate 110 PS of power and 140 Nm of torque which is about 28 percent more power than the un-turbocharged petrol variant, which generates almost 82 PS. They will provide a 5-speed manual unit and a DCT unit as an added option.

iTurbo Variant Speed
As per the official figures released, the Tata Altroz iTurbo can accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in just 13 seconds. Likewise, you get additional driving modes in the turbocharged variants. It will have Sport and city modes available with only iTurbo variants.

Pricing and Competitors
Meanwhile, Tata Altroz iTurbo’s initial ex-showroom price will start from Rs 8 to 9 lakhs. After the launch, it will meet competition from the Hyundai i20, Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Honda Jazz, and Volkswagen Polo in the Indian market.
